- Scale Weight is BS.
Scale Weight is BS.
You know it, I know it, let's end this ❌
As women we are always under so much pressure to be smaller.
To be lighter.
To drop a dress size.
To have a thigh gap.
To weigh less.
It’s EXHAUSTING.

Its been drummed into us that in order to be fit and healthy and make progress, we have to see the number on the scale go down ⬇️
Well I’m about to show you why that's a load of rubbish and why the scales really shouldn't be the only way you measure your progress.
When you weigh yourself you are weighing every cell in your body as well as water, fat, muscle etc.
So it is never going to be 100% accurate ❌
The number that pops up depends on your age, your sex, your height, you activity levels, your injuries and illness and so much more…
Your weight can be affected by so many different factors - it can go up and down for so many reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with fat loss!
The truth is, muscle takes up less space than fat in your body.
So 1lb of fat looks very different to 1 lb of muscle - but they weigh the same.
And muscle is actually around 18% denser than fat! 🤯
So if you gained muscle and lost fat, your body could look completely different, yet your scale weight wouldn't change…
Similarly, you could lose 10 lbs of weight and your body might not change much at all!
When you look at someone, you don't think ‘oh i wish I weighed the same as them’ - you think ‘wow, they look fit and strong, I wanna be like that’.
Which tells you everything you need to know!
Take your focus away from what the scale says and tune into how your body feels.
The differences you notice in your everyday movements, things that once felt challenging now feeling easy, not feeling out of breath at the top of the stairs, jeans that were once too tight fitting comfortably.
There’s so much more to it than what the scale says 💚
