When did this s*** get so complicated?

Let me help you keep it simple...

When did health and fitness become so complicated?

I can’t quite get my head around it.

I feel like nowadays, people spout out things left right and centre and it leaves everyone feeling SO confused!

I get questions all the time from women that have read thing on line that make no sense, and suddenly fitness becomes so complicated.

People have become so fixated on all the minuscule details, and put their time and energy into the things that really don’t matter.

As a society, we are so focused on things like supplements, finding the ‘perfect’ exercises, protein windows, blah blah blah…

Whats happened to eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, drinking enough water and prioritising daily movement?

Consistency in the things I just mentioned is far more important and beneficial in the long run!

So to help you figure it out, and keep it simple, here are 5 tips to allow you to focus on the things that mater.

1. Drink enough water! Everyone is hung up on drinking 2 litres of water, but this isn’t correct for everyone. Someone who is fairly sedentary vs someone who is training 3/4 times a week is going to need less water, so start by just making an effort to drink more. If you currently drink 1 bottle a day, see if you can go for 1 1/2. Eventually you can up it to 2, but start manageable and work your way up.

2. Move daily! This is different for everyone. If you are reading this and currently you don’t go to the gym, please do not think you all of a sudden have you train 5 times a week! Find something you enjoy and make a habit of it. Go for a walk, do a gentle stretch session or take yourself on a bike ride. The best exercise is the one you’ll ACTUALLY do!

3. Get enough sleep! I’ll keep this one short and sweet because last weeks newsletter was allll about sleep, so if you haven’t read it yet, and go do so.

4. Eat a balanced diet! I cannot stress this enough, a diet full of nutrients will get you a hell of a lot further than a diet that Is lacking colour and nutrition, and a balanced diet will do SO much more for you than trying to eat as little calories as possible…

5. Lastly, put yourself first! This is by far the most important - If you are not giving yourself the love and time you deserve and need then I’m sorry but your progress will stall. Prioritise yourself, do things that will set you up for success, and take some time for yourself each and everyday to check in and work towards your goals!

You want to succeed? Start with these 5 things - keep it simple, keep it consistent, and watch your progress FLY!
