Here's How to Get Summer Body Ready...

You've got 80 days ๐Ÿ‘€

Summer is less than 80 days awayโ€ฆ

And that can only mean one thing.

Itโ€™s time to get Summer Body Ready do nothing differently because our worth is not dependent on how many abs we have this summer ๐Ÿคฉ

Iโ€™ve never really understood why 8 weeks before summer everyone panics and all of a sudden wants to drop 3 stone.

Itโ€™s almost as if thereโ€™s a pressure to look certain way just because they sun has come out?

Oh wait - there is!

Society has made us believe and feel that in order to be worthy in the summer we have to be the smallest version of ourselves.

And listen, Iโ€™m not trashing people who want to change their body - you are allowed to work on yourself and want to see and feel differences, BUT I donโ€™t agree with people going to drastic measures to lose weight just because itโ€™s summer.

Just because the sun is out, it doesnโ€™t mean you have to start doing crazy amounts of cardio and hitting the gym 7 days a week.

As I always say, unsustainable changes mean unsustainable results.

What we should be doing is making small, manageable changes that can be continued long after summer is over.

For instance, if you are wanting to feel a little bit fitter this summer and lose some body fat I would recommend doing the following:

๐Ÿ’š Increase your daily steps by 2-3k a day

๐Ÿ’š Increase your daily water intake

๐Ÿ’š Focus of consuming a high protein diet

๐Ÿ’š Getting a decent amount of sleep every night

๐Ÿ’š Hit 3 gym sessions a week - a structured plan would further increase the results

What you should not be doing:

๐Ÿ’š Crazy amounts of cardio

๐Ÿ’š Slash your calories

๐Ÿ’š Skipping meals

๐Ÿ’š Not getting enough sleep

๐Ÿ’š Not getting enough water

I think itโ€™s important to note that when we see these crazy 8 week transformations posted by coaches and other influencers, that 9/10 of those people donโ€™t look like that.

8 weeks of doing something will not undo a lifetime of issues around food, exercise and body image.

If you are serious about your health and fitness, you should not be panicking and trying to make drastic changes in a short period of time.

What you should be doing is working on your health and fitness long term, because the longer it takes, the longer they stay.
