Most coaches have no qualifications and its starting to annoy me...

Hiring a coach because of how they look is like buying a car without checking if it has a working engine and a valid MOT.

In a world where every man, their nan and their cousin's dog is an online coach, it's no wonder people feel overwhelmed when it comes to getting in shape. The conflicting advice, different programmes and apps - it feels like a lot.

You may have seen my email a few weeks back about how instagram followers don't equal a pt qualification. Well in this one i'm gonna talk about how a good physique is also not a level 3 pt qualification.

Yes, being in good shape is an important thing as a coach - you are in a way your own advert. But, being in shape doesn't give you the credentials to do the same for others.

I've seen it so many times, coaches looking incredible but they don't have the knowledge to do the same for others.

People pay them a lot of money (some coaches charging the best part of 300/400 pounds a month) for a very very very basic coaching programme. It’s very frustrating…

SO if you’re looking for a coach - look into more than just how they look.

You can of course aspire to look like someone (without forming an obsession) but you just have to be mindful that alot more comes into it then just how they are working out and what they’re eating.
