10 Reminders For a Bad Body Image Day đź’š

Plus FREE Body Image Webinar Inside

The average age girls start to worry about their body is 6.

6!

With research showing that this figure is moving closer to 3-4years old… 🤯

I don’t know about you but hearing that shocks me to the core, and it hurts me to think of all the beautiful young girls out there who feel that way about themselves.

As women, we’ve been taught to constantly pick ourselves apart.

To never celebrate how we look or be proud of what we’ve achieved.

To always be striving for more.

To eat less than the men around us.

And stay youthful with every year we age.

It’s no wonder so many of us struggle with body image, feeling that we’re not good enough, or comparison to others!

But the reality is that even the strongest, fittest, leanest women will still feel this way about themselves every so often - it’s just something that we’re programmed to go through.

You’ve all heard me talk about how the scale weight doesn’t matter, and how you’re more than a number, but we’re all human, and we’ll still have these feelings sometimes.

It’s not about getting rid of them, it’s about what we do when those thoughts and feelings come…

So here are 10 reminders for you when you’re having a bad body image day…

đź’š You deserve to eat, no matter what you look like.

💚 Validation shouldn’t come from something that is ever changing.

đź’š You are worth more than what your body looks like.

đź’š The way you see you body is not always a correct representation of how it actually looks.

đź’š Your body is your home, treat it accordingly.

đź’š Move your body because you love it, not to punish it.

đź’š The best weight you can ever lose is that of the opinions of others.

đź’š You are not a size, weight or number. You are YOU.

đź’š You deserve to live a life without hating your body.

đź’š All bodies are beautiful.

If today is one of those days for you, be kind to yourself - wear loose, comfy clothing, avoid the mirror if you need to, and do something that genuinely makes you happy.

Don’t restrict your food, body check in every reflective surface or treat yourself in a way you wouldn’t treat your best friend.

You’re worth more than that.
